the RFQ (Request for Qualifications) process for the Thomas Wolfe Cabin Master Plan project.

The RFQ requires that interested consultants submit statements of qualifications by a December 8, 2016 3:00 PM deadline.

The submissions will then be reviewed by a Selection Committee composed of City staff and key stakeholders.  Each submission will be rated on a standardized form.

Based on its review the Selection Committee will select the best overall statement of qualifications and also assign ratings to the other submitters.

The Selection Committee may elect to short list the best qualified firms based on the ratings and then conduct written or oral discussions to determine the top three submissions.  The usual number of firms, or teams, for shortlisting is 3.

Once the best qualified firm is determined, the City will enter into contract negotiations with the selected firm.  If negotiations fail, the City will terminate such negotiations and enter into negotiations with the next best ranked firm.

It is estimated that the selection of the best qualified firm will occur in January 2017 and that the estimated contract start will be in February 2017.

It is further estimated that the Master Plan project will be completed in the Summer of Fall of 2017.
